fireflies - amanda falk

A cool summer night was spent watching the fireflies
dancing in the light of the moon
who would have guessed that what we thought was real
was so fragile and ended so soon
i miss what we had together
promised each other forever
was it a long time ago
i dont even know
i barely recognize the places that we used to go
ive lost track of time
seems like just yesterday
but you're slipping away
you're slipping away

i reminisced
i recollected all the thoughts of you and placed them in a box under my bed
nothing i can do and nohting anyone can say
can replace the memories in my head
you're a vision
that wont go away
why wont you stay
why wont you stay
it was a long time ago
i dont even know
i dont recognize the places that we used to go
ive lost track of time
it seems like just yesterday
but you're slipping away
oh you're slipping away

was it a long time ago
i dont even know
i cant recognize the places that we used to go
i lost track of time
it seems like just yesterday
but you're slipping away
oh you're slipping away
oh you're slipping away

a cool summer night was spent watching the fireflies
dance in the light of the moon
